MediaTek Helio P70 vs Qualcomm Snapdragon 710
Recently MediaTek announced a mobile processor mediaTek helio P70, which is a decent upper mid range powerful processor. Basically it’s a successor of mediaTek helio p60. MediaTek helio P70 become the direct competitor of recently introduced Qualcomm Snapdragon 710.
The first smartphone with MediaTek helio P70 will be Realme U1 and the same with Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 will be MI 8 SE.
MediaTek helio P70 is built on the arm architecture, where 4 core cortex A73(2.1ghz) 4 core cortex A53(2.0ghz) work in conjunction with a graphics accelerator mali g72 with clock frequency of 900 megahertz. Performance of the graphics core compared to helio p60 is increased by 30%.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 works on Qualcomm octa Core kryo 360, which can be brought up to 2.2ghz. It has Qualcomm adreno 616 GPU, which is capable of rendering advanced 3D graphics.
MediaTek helio P70 is not for 12 NM FINFET process Technology, where is Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 is made for 14 NM process Technology. Here, mediaTek helio P70 consumes up to 15% less power than other 14nm class products.
Mediatek Helio P70 supports for 20:9 display it full HD Plus resolution with 2160*1080 pixels, where is Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 supports for Quad HD Plus with a maximum screen resolution of 3360*1440.
Both the processor supports Dual 4G VoLTE. Helio P70 supports Bluetooth version upto 4.2 , where is Snapdragon 710 supports a higher bluetooth version upto Bluetooth 5.0 and has support for NFC.
Helio P70 has the capability to capture pictures upto 24mp + 16mp for dual camera, and upto 32 MP in single camera. It can record videos up to 32mp @ 30fps and 16mp @ 90fps.
Snapdragon 710 can capture pictures upto 20mp + 20mp and upto 32mp in single camera.It can record videos in 4K Ultra HD @ 30FPS, and 1080p @120 FPS.
Both of these SOC’s supports artificial intelligence for camera, processor and battery, and can support even more complicated AI applications such as human pose detection.
